Stream Restoration

Molls Cove - Restoration of approximately 1400LF of unnamed stream channel leading to the Potomac River. Main restoration techniques utilized included bed sill and riffle grade controls.

Stonegate Estates - Restoration of approximately 650LF of unnamed stream channel leading to the Anacostia River. Main restoration techniques utilized included bed sills, channel re-alignment, stone revetments and log toe stabilization.

Indian Head MD - Restoration of approximately 300LF of unnamed stream channel leading to the Potomac River. Main restoration techniques utilized included soil stabilization lifts, bed sills, log revetment and a herp pool.

Hanover MD - Restoration of approximately 1400LF Piney Run Stream. Main restoration techniques utilized included bed sills, stone revetments, channel re-alignment and mass grading.

Chesapeake Beach MD - Restoration of approximately 1600LF of unnamed stream channel leading to the Chesapeake Bay. Main restoration techniques utilized included riffle weirs, cascades, bed sills, log weirs and log toe stabilization.

Wetland Mitigation/Construction

California MD - Construction of approximately 2.25 acres of wetland habitat. Mitigation was required to compensate for  4 road crossings of wetlands.

Roach Road - Conversion of a demolished building pad into a herp wetland providing wildlife habitat. A Solitary Sand Piper is shown in the photo above.

Indian Head MD - Vernal Pool A constructed to capture rain water in low laying area to provide a wetland habitat area.

Cedar Point Wildlife Mgmt. Area - Constructed approximately 5 acres of wetland habitat and 1 acre duck pond.

Storm Water Management

California MD - Construction a  pocket sand filter and detention basin to manage run off from a small parking lot.

Wildewood Recreation Facility - Construction drainage swales and Micro-bioretention structure to manage run off from tennis courts.

Magnolia Park - Construction of a forebay, sand infiltration structure and 1 acre detention pond to manage roadway rain runoff.

Wildewood Rec Area 4 - Install a Gravel Pave parking lot to manage storm water from new soccer field..

Current Projects

Sandy Point State - Park South Park Restoration/Enhancements - This is a Design / Build project. Construction includes pedestrian trails, elevated boardwalks, stamped concrete walkways, picnic areas, pollinator meadows and a large central food truck court. 

Construction scheduled to start in the Fall of 2024 and completed in late spring of 2025 for your summer beach experience.

Trossbach Farms Living Shoreline - This is a Design / Build project. Construction has been designed to protect and control erosion on almost a mile of shoreline. Project consists of large off-shore whale tail breakwaters, sand/cobble fill, low marsh and high marsh establishment, breakwater oyster toe reefs and dune habitat. 

Construction is scheduled to start late fall of 2024.
